FAQs
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes, all sessions are held online for your convenience and comfort.
What issues do you treat best?
The reality is that the clients I've worked with that have the most expansive growth tend to mirror the most painful human flaws I've found in myself. They include:
Not valuing yourself and your feelings enough
Staying in relationships way too long/where you're not seen
Squandering precious energy in perfectionism, control, or achievement (when you're really just seeking connection and fulfillment).
As you may know, these are the best conditions for anxiety and depression to take hold. So, no wonder we seek therapy as a means to understand our root suffering - And ditch the trauma responding so that we can live in an authentic way.
Do you accept insurance?
I accept both private pay and some insurance plans. Please contact your insurance company to verify your coverage. I can also try to help you with navigating this.
You can reach out via email or phone to set up your first session.
How do I schedule an appointment?
What is your approach?
I focus on healing from trauma and reconnecting with your true self. I mix in elements of the following theories:
Humanistic/Existential - This style acknowledges that the human spirit can heal and grow toward "actualizing" into the best version of themselves.
Psychodynamic - For therapy to be effective, we must sometimes acknowledge hurt from the past that directs our unconscious behavior in the present. We must discover new methods of sitting with these feelings, rather than using maladaptive defense mechanisms to perpetuate suffering.
